SenEmpower

Basic activities of SenEmpower project are directed at elderly people experiencing difficulties to remain active community members due to their health condition, family situation and other circumstances leading to social exclusion. Based on the common European framework curriculum training courses for self-help and voluntary organizations working with specific groups of seniors at risk of social exclusion were developed and tested in six locations in Europe (Austria, Germany, Italy, Lithuania and United Kingdom). The program run in Kaunas was aimed at senior volunteers willing and able to help lonely old people ill with chronic diseases.
